ProMat 2013: New innovation award to be presented

ProMat 2013 is now accepting submissions for the ProMat Innovation Award competition.


ProMat 2013 is introducing a new award: the ProMat Innovation Award competition. Submissions are now being accepted. The ProMat innovation award serves to educate and provide valuable insights on the latest manufacturing and supply chain innovative products and services to ProMat attendees. This award will be given to winners in two categories: Best New Innovation and Best Innovation of an Existing Product. Winners will be recognized at the show as well as in MHIA materials. You must be a ProMat 2013 exhibiting company to be eligible.

The contest defines innovation as a new product, product line, technology or service or new application of existing products or technology that create quantifiable and sustainable results in terms of ROI, cost savings, customer satisfaction, etc.

Entrants must first complete ProMat Innovation Award Submission Form by November 2, 2012.

Finalists must also participate in an on-site demonstration. Between 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Monday, January 21, 2013, selected finalists will present and demonstrate their innovation in their booth on the ProMat show floor. A panel of judges will evaluate the selected product or service and choose the winners in each category.

Finalists will be notified by January 4, 2013 of their participation in the demonstration portion. Finalists must commit to having two representatives in their ProMat booth on the morning of January
21, 2013 to participate in their final evaluation by the judging committee.

ProMat Innovation Award Categories:
•Best New Innovation: A new service, product or product line not offered before by any company
•Best Innovation of an Existing Product: A new variation, feature or extension of an existing product or service

Finalists will be judged by a committee of judges on the morning of January 21, 2013, and the award winners will be announced during a press conference in The Hub on the ProMat Show
floor on Monday, January 21, 2013.

ProMat 2013 is scheduled to be held January 21-24, 2013 in Chicago’s McCormick Place South. The tradeshow will showcase the latest manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the material handling and logistics industry. Modern’s complete ProMat 2013 coverage.
